Hey there, folks! Today I’m going to share with you a topic that deeply touches me: sleep problems in children. As a mother and health advocate, I know how crucial a good night’s sleep is for our little ones’ development and well-being.Did you know that about 20% to 30% of children under 5 face sleep problems? It’s an alarming number, isn’t it? But don’t worry, I’m here to help!Let’s start by talking about the signs that indicate your child might be facing difficulties sleeping. Pay attention if they:

  • Snore frequently
  • Have trouble falling asleep
  • Wake up several times during the night
  • Seem tired or irritable during the day
  • Have concentration problems at school

If you’ve noticed any of these signs, you’re not alone. Many parents go through this, including me!

Types of Sleep Problems

Behavioral Insomnia

Behavioral insomnia is one of the most common problems in young children. It can manifest in two main ways:

  1. Sleep-onset Association Disorder: In this case, the child learns to fall asleep only under specific conditions, like in their parents’ arms or being rocked.
