The uncomfortable truth about what we’ve been taught about sex and why we need to talk about it now.

I still remember the day when, sitting in a doctor’s waiting room in New Jersey, I overheard a middle-aged woman whisper to her friend: “Sex is the devil’s work, my dear. The less you do it, the holier you’ll be.” At that moment, I realized I was witnessing one of the biggest paradoxes of our modern society: how can something so natural and scientifically beneficial to our health still be treated with so much prejudice and misinformation?

Our inability to talk openly about sex is literally killing us slowly, and I’m not exaggerating. The scientific data is clear and irrefutable, but we continue to perpetuate myths that harm us physically, emotionally, and socially.

The Science Nobody Wants to Discuss

When I dove into the research for this article, I discovered surprising facts that are rarely discussed in public. A healthy and active sex life can increase our life expectancy by up to 8 years. Yes, you read that right. Eight years. And it’s not just about quantity of life, but quality.
