Sex Beyond the Bush
Fuck, last night I had a conversation that left me floored. A friend of mine, totally frustrated, confessed he’d lost his mojo for his wife. The reason? Her pussy was too hairy for his taste. It got me thinking: should we really keep our cooch all shaved?
This talk hit me hard. I mean, the chick is awesome in every way — smart, fun, caring — but some extra hair and the guy can’t get it up? What the hell is that about? I decided to dig deeper into this mess.
“So, dude, do you shave?” I asked point-blank.
“Me? Hell no!” he replied, almost offended.
Talk about irony, right? A hairy guy complaining about his girl’s hair. But I swallowed what I really wanted to say and kept digging.
I found out that in the beginning, when they were hooking up, she kept her snatch smooth. But then a baby came along, routines changed, and waxing became the least of her worries. It got me pondering how we create these crazy expectations about women’s bodies.
What if we flipped the script? What if, instead of demanding women conform to impossible standards, we celebrated the diversity of bodies? Imagine a world where pubes were seen as sexy instead of gross.
